How to join impact.com
Verified 2026-10-14Sign-up steps
- 1Go to the impact.com sign-in page, select Partner, and sign up with Apple, Google or email.
- 2Verify your mobile number (in some regions the code is sent by email).
- 3Check your country, timezone and currency (currency affects how you get paid and cannot be changed later), then accept the Partner Program Agreement.
- 4Complete the checklist: categorize your business (including individual or company), connect your channels, and personalize your profile.
- 5Submit and wait for impact.com to review your marketplace application.
- 6Once approved, find and apply to brands in the marketplace, and set up your tax and bank details.
Who can join
- Eligibility
- Individuals and companies can join (you choose whether the account represents an individual or a company). You must be 18 or older. Payments cannot be processed to some accounts because of the Russia-Ukraine war, international sanctions or payment method constraints.
- Website needed?
- A website is not required. You can connect websites, social profiles (Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, X, Facebook, etc.), mobile apps, newsletters, podcasts, browser extensions or offline channels. impact.com recommends adding at least one verified property to improve your chances of marketplace approval.
- Approval
- Two levels: impact.com first reviews your marketplace application for authenticity and channel ownership, with a decision stated within 72 hours (another page says within 2 business days); only then can you apply to brands. Each brand then accepts or declines your program application; some brands pre-approve you so you can start right away.
Fees & payouts
- Publisher fees
- Signing up is free. Domestic EFT (ACH) withdrawals are free; international wire fees are currency-specific; PayPal withdrawals carry a 2% fee (the bank setup page states up to $20 or equivalent). Anytime PayPal (beta) costs $2 + 2%, capped at $20. If impact.com cannot pay you for 6 months because of missing tax or payment details, a monthly maintenance fee applies from month 7: $10 USD under direct invoicing, £25 GBP under invoicing via an impact.com entity (or equivalent).
- Payment schedule
- Autopay, choose one: when your balance reaches your chosen threshold (processed the following Tuesday or Thursday), or on a fixed day each month (1st or 15th) if the balance is above $10. Brands must have funded their accounts and all payment requirements (tax, identity, address, etc.) must be met. EFT and wire take 3–5 business days after the paystub clears.
- Minimum payout
- $10 USD minimum (or the equivalent in your account currency). With threshold autopay you can set a higher threshold.
- Payout methods
- Domestic EFT (ACH, free), international EFT (wire, currency-specific fees) and PayPal (2%). Availability depends on your bank country/region and account currency. PayPal has a $100,000 USD (or equivalent) transaction limit. Anytime PayPal (beta) allows instant withdrawals when your balance is under $500 and you have received at least one standard payment.
- Payout currency
- You are paid in the account currency chosen at signup, which cannot be changed later. ACH supports AUD, CAD, DKK, EUR, GBP, HKD, ILS, NOK, PLN, SEK, SGD, USD, ZAR and more; wire supports 70+ currencies (including CNY, TWD, HKD, JPY, KRW); PayPal supports 15 currencies such as USD, GBP, EUR, AUD, CAD, HKD, JPY, SGD. New sign-ups with BRL are not supported.
Tax & location
- Tax forms
- impact.com does not withhold tax. US partners must submit a W-9 once yearly earnings reach $2,000. Non-US partners working with US brands submit a W-8BEN (individuals) or W-8BEN-E (entities), or W-8ECI/EXP/IMY where applicable; non-US partners working only with non-US brands do not, but should confirm their indirect tax details. Partners invoicing via an impact.com entity are exempt from W-8 forms. Payouts are held until a required form is submitted.
- China-based publishers
- The official currency table lists Chinese Yuan (CNY) with China as a supported bank location, paid via international wire; CNY is not a PayPal currency. WeChat and Weibo can be added as channels but are verified manually by impact.com. No other China-specific signup rules are stated.

Can I join without a website?
Yes. Social profiles, apps, newsletters, podcasts and other channels are accepted, but impact.com recommends adding at least one verified property to improve your approval chances.
How long does approval take?
impact.com states you will receive a marketplace decision within 72 hours. After that you apply to brands, and each brand decides whether to accept you.
What is the minimum payout?
$10 USD (or equivalent in your account currency). Autopay runs either by balance threshold or on the 1st/15th of the month.
Can I change my account currency later?
No. The currency is fixed at signup; to change it you must recreate your partner account.
Which tax form do non-US individuals need?
If you work with US brands, individuals submit a W-8BEN and companies a W-8BEN-E; if you work only with non-US brands, no form is needed. impact.com does not withhold tax.
