Who can join
- Eligibility
- Companies and sole traders can apply (sole traders use their own name as the billing name). Individuals contracting on their own behalf must be 18 or over; under-18s are advised to have an adult apply and manage the account. Affiliates outside Australia can join; countries missing from the tax residency list are not supported.
- Website needed?
- No website is required. The application needs at least one traffic source: a website or connected social media accounts; creators promoting via Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Substack, Discord, podcasts and similar can join. New traffic sources are reviewed by Commission Factory.
- Approval
- Yes, at network level: the Publisher Team reviews applications within up to three business days and emails an approval or rejection. A credit card pre-authorisation of AU$5 is required and is typically reversed within 7 working days after processing. After joining, each advertiser program is applied to separately and advertisers approve or refuse at their discretion.
Fees & payouts
- Publisher fees
- Joining is free and no fees are charged on commissions; the AU$5 card pre-authorisation at application is reversed. Payout-related costs: international bank transfers have no banking or exchange fees; Payoneer charges a fixed fee per payment (varies by country), with a $15 fee for SWIFT transfers; PayPal via Payoneer charges 2% conversion if currencies differ; PayPal payments returned unclaimed may incur a reprocessing charge.
- Payment schedule
- Payments are processed every Thursday (AEST); weekly by default, changeable to fortnightly or monthly (first Thursday of the month). Commissions must clear the advertiser's validation period (often 30 days) and be paid by the advertiser before entering the next payment run.
- Minimum payout
- Minimum payment threshold of AUD 50; a higher threshold can be chosen under Settings > Billing.
- Payout methods
- Australian bank, international bank transfer (enabled on request via affiliates@commissionfactory.com), PayPal and Payoneer.
- Payout currency
- Commissions are shown in AUD. With international bank transfer you choose the payout currency; overseas affiliates can receive local currency via PayPal or Payoneer (fees may apply). The site says payouts are supported in over 150 currencies.
Tax & location
- Tax forms
- Enter billing name, phone, address and tax residency under Billing. Businesses operating in Australia must provide an ABN and indicate GST registration; without an ABN (and no ATO exemption) 47% is withheld and paid to the ATO. Affiliates outside Australia or otherwise exempt must submit a 'Statement by Supplier' form. Commission Factory issues Recipient Created Tax Invoices.
