How to join A8.net

Sign-up steps

1Click the sign-up button on the A8.net homepage, enter your email, accept the terms and complete the bot check.
2Open the link in the provisional-registration email to start full registration.
3Enter basic details (name, address, login ID), media details (blog/site URL or social accounts) and the bank account for payouts (bank or Japan Post Bank).
4Log in to the dashboard with the login ID and password you set.
5Search programs in the dashboard and apply; for programs that require review, ad codes become available after the advertiser approves.

Who can join

Eligibility: Individuals and companies can register (sole proprietors register as individuals). The person running the media must be 18 or older; under-18s cannot register even with parental consent. Overseas residents can register if they have a Japanese bank account in their own name and a contact address in Japan, and they can only promote on Japanese-language sites.
Website needed?: You need either a website or a social media account. Accepted social platforms are Instagram, YouTube, TikTok, X, Threads, Pinterest and note, and the account must be registered as a main or sub site before posting ads. Registered media must in principle be in Japanese.
Approval: There is no screening to join A8.net and you can start right away, though rule violations can lead to warnings or removal. Individual programs are reviewed by each advertiser: after you apply, review can take from the same day to several weeks, some programs approve instantly, and results are sent by email.

Fees & payouts

Publisher fees: Registration and use are free, with no joining or annual fees. Publishers only pay the bank transfer fee on payouts (JPY 66–660 depending on the receiving bank and amount), deducted automatically; instant payment has its own fee. On voluntary withdrawal, the transfer fee plus a JPY 1,000 (excl. tax) admin fee is deducted from unpaid earnings.
Payment schedule: Earnings close at the end of each month and are paid on the 15th of the second following month (next business day if a bank holiday), provided the confirmed total meets your chosen payment condition. Instant payment is also available (see payout methods).
Minimum payout: Three options: JPY 5,000 (default for new members), JPY 1,000, or the carry-over option that holds everything until you request payment (requires at least JPY 1,000). Amounts below the threshold roll over without interest. Instant payment requires a balance of at least JPY 2,000, up to JPY 200,000 per month.
Payout methods: Bank transfer only, to a Japanese financial institution account in your own name (bank or Japan Post Bank); overseas accounts are not supported, and the account name must match the member name. Regular transfer fees: JPY 110/220 to SMBC Shibuya-ekimae branch, JPY 220/440 to other SMBC branches, JPY 495/660 to other banks (split at JPY 30,000), flat JPY 66 to Japan Post Bank. Instant payment: JPY 250 (under JPY 30,000) or JPY 429 to a bank, or JPY 100/200 when exchanged for d POINT.
Payout currency: Japanese yen (paid only to Japanese bank accounts).

Tax & location

Tax forms: A8.net does not withhold tax on earnings and does not report them to the tax office; members file themselves where required (in Japan, salaried workers with over JPY 200,000 a year in side income must file a return). Payouts include consumption tax, and A8 issues a purchase statement (仕入明細書) treated as the qualified invoice; members have 2 weeks after notice to raise any issues.
China-based publishers: China is not mentioned specifically. Overseas residents can register only with a Japanese bank account in their own name and a contact address in Japan; A8.net does not pay to overseas accounts, and promotion is limited to Japanese-language sites.
