How to join Awin (incl. ShareASale)
Verified 2026-10-14Sign-up steps
- 1Go to Awin's Publisher Sign-Up form.
- 2Follow the sign-up wizard and select your primary region and promotional types.
- 3Fill in your promotional space: website URL (social media profiles can also be added), a description, and the relevant sectors.
- 4Tick the box to accept Awin's terms and click 'Join Our Network' to submit.
- 5Pay the refundable 1 GBP/USD/EUR deposit and wait for Awin's decision by email.
- 6Once accepted, apply to brand programs under Advertisers > Join Programs and wait for each advertiser's approval.
Who can join
- Eligibility
- Both individuals and companies can join. An individual contracting on their own behalf must be 18 or over; individuals without a registered business select 'Sole Trader' and enter their full name in the tax details. If your country is not in the tax residency list, Awin's services are not available there.
- Website needed?
- The sign-up form asks for a promotional space: you can enter a website URL and can also add social media profiles. Awin says brands can be promoted on any social network.
- Approval
- Awin reviews every publisher application (each is checked manually, including identity verification) and notifies the result by email. A refundable 1 GBP/USD/EUR security deposit is required at sign-up and is refunded with the first commission payment. After joining, you apply to each brand's program separately; the advertiser or its Awin Account Manager approves it, and timing varies by advertiser.
Fees & payouts
- Publisher fees
- A refundable 1 GBP/USD/EUR sign-up deposit (returned with the first commission payment). No other account fees are stated. Payoneer local-currency payouts carry an FX fee of about 1.75%; SWIFT wires have no FX fee but your bank or intermediary banks may charge. If you choose a payout currency different from the commission currency, conversion costs are borne by the publisher.
- Payment schedule
- Twice a month by default: on the 1st (earnings approved up to the 15th of the previous month) and the 15th (earnings approved up to the end of the previous month); weekend dates move to the next working day. You can choose a single monthly payment on the 15th. Commissions become payable once Awin has received the advertiser's payment.
- Minimum payout
- Minimum thresholds: £20 (GBP), €20 (EUR), $20 (USD); other currencies equivalent to $20. If you don't set one, the default is 50 GBP/EUR/USD/CHF/AUD/BRL (or equivalent). Balances below the threshold roll over to the next cycle.
- Payout methods
- Matched to your payout currency and bank location: SEPA for EUR to SEPA-country banks, BACS for GBP to UK banks, ACH for USD to US banks; domestic payments in Denmark, Sweden, Norway, Poland, Switzerland, Brazil and Mexico; cross-border payments (e.g. USD to non-US banks) and AUD/CAD go through Payoneer (local currency or SWIFT wire). Payoneer must be set up from inside your Awin account; an existing Payoneer account cannot be linked, and funds go straight to your bank account.
- Payout currency
- Ten currencies: USD, EUR, GBP, AUD, CAD, SEK, DKK, NOK, CHF and PLN (plus domestic BRL and MXN payments). Via Payoneer you can receive your local currency, or USD, EUR or GBP in select regions.
Tax & location
- Tax forms
- Complete Tax Details under Account > Payment Details: tax residency, business type (registered company or sole trader), company/full name, VAT ID or local tax number, address, and tax verification documents if requested. US publishers must submit a W-9. Awin issues self-billed invoices, so publishers do not invoice. UK and Germany follow local VAT rules; elsewhere the reverse charge may apply. If withholding tax applies, Awin may deduct it from payments.
- China-based publishers
- China (CN) appears in the tax residency list served by Awin's publisher registration system, and Awin states that countries not on that list are unsupported. China is not among Awin's domestic-payment countries, so payouts would go through Payoneer as international payments; Awin does not say whether local CNY payouts are available (it points to Payoneer's coverage map).
