  2. 2Complete the application accurately and list your website, app or social page URLs.
  3. 3After sign-up, your Associate tag is emailed to you and shown on your Associates home page.

  5. 5Choose a payment method in Account Settings (direct deposit, gift card or check).
  6. 6Promote with your tagged links, drive at least three qualifying sales within 180 days, then await Amazon's review.

Who can join

Eligibility
Individuals and companies can join: the program is for bloggers, publishers and content creators with a qualifying website or mobile app, the agreement applies to 'any person or entity', and the tax interview covers both individuals (SSN/ITIN) and companies (EIN). No age requirement or country exclusion list is stated. The US program and the UK, DE, FR, IT, ES, CA, AU, JP, IN and other programs are separate: you must register separately for each locale, and your tag works only where you registered.
Website needed?
A website is not strictly required. Accepted Sites are websites, mobile apps, social network pages and Alexa skills. Websites must be your own with content updated within roughly the last 60 days; social networks currently accepted are Facebook (not personal pages), Instagram, Twitter, YouTube, TikTok and Twitch, and pages must be public with usually at least 500 organic followers. You must provide a site URL when signing up.
Approval
You get a tracking ID and can start linking right away, but Amazon only reviews your application after you drive at least three qualifying sales within 180 days (personal orders don't count); a decision usually follows within a day or two, covering all the Sites you listed. Without enough sales in 180 days the application can be withdrawn, and a rejected application cannot be reassessed. There is no separate per-brand approval.

Fees & payouts

Publisher fees
No sign-up fee is stated. Direct deposit and gift cards have no fee; checks carry a USD 15 processing fee, waived when your billing address is outside the US. Amazon charges no fee for international bank transfers (conversion at the payout-day rate), though your bank may. If no commission is earned for 3 years, an account maintenance fee of up to USD 10 may be charged and the account closed.
Payment schedule
Paid monthly, approximately 60 days after the end of the month in which commissions were earned. Payment-method changes take effect from the following month's payment.
Minimum payout
USD 10 for direct deposit, USD 10 for gift card (maximum USD 2,000), USD 100 for check (you can set a higher check threshold). Amounts below the minimum roll into the next month.
Payout methods
Three options: direct deposit (bank transfer), Amazon gift card (sent to your account email) and check (mailed). Associates in the US, UK, DE, FR, IT, ES or CA programs with a bank account in the US, UK or Eurozone (52 countries in total) can receive international earnings by bank transfer in local currency. Payment details must be set up separately for each program or Associate ID.
Payout currency
Paid in the site's default currency (USD for the US program); you may be able to choose another currency, converted per Amazon's standards. International bank transfers pay in USD, GBP or EUR depending on where your account is.

Tax & location

Tax forms
All Associates must complete the online tax interview, validated with the IRS, before any payment. Non-US Associates have up to 30% withheld on US commissions unless they submit a completed W-8BEN with a valid treaty claim. US payees receiving USD 600 or more get a Form 1099; non-US payees get Form 1042-S by March 15 of the following year.
China-based publishers
Amazon does not say whether publishers in mainland China can join the US program. The official list of countries supported for international bank transfer (US, UK, Eurozone — 52 in total) does not include mainland China; Associates with a billing address outside the US can use gift card or check (check fee waived, USD 100 minimum). Non-US Associates must complete the tax interview or face up to 30% withholding.
